Thanks for your help, I'll post if i find more - but for now will do some investigations down the Malta line.

It does have a maltese cross at the top.

The bowl is round, but there is nothing that leads me to believe it was ever a coin.

I know it is small and even a little crude, but I just adore it. I've browsed through pages and pages of silver marks, but haven't had any luck yet. I have a hard time making the first stamp out, but as the second is 925 I'm guessing it is American. Thank you for any help. The hallmarks: http://www....
