Re: Wher does it come from?
From the style, mark and silver content, I would suggest looking in the Caspian sea area, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan etc

Well interesting marks, the Swiss grouse was used until about 1934 and the German Moon and Crown after 1881...so you have two different national marks on this piece. I would certainly think it was Swiss since the Swiss marks are there and the 0,800 is the Swiss pattern for this level of purity. i ha...

Re: Danish ? Cream Ladle
Gentlemen.... thank you for your input. I too came to the conclusion that it was not Danish ( missing the danish national marks ) and was more likely from Norway. I am guessing at a date about in the late 1800s, what would you think ?

Re: Cat hallmark. Egypt? silver content? year?
Well it is certainly Egyptian, silver content is 800, dating Egyptian is very difficult because there seems to be NO resource to read the date codes anywhere on line or in print...... but it is before 1946..... city stamp is also very hard to read prolly Cairo but could be Alexandrina

Looks like the London import mark to me...... these bags were popular in the 20s....Cohen and Charles imported stuff like this in the 20's and 30's....seems to fit that mode.... might wanna look for more marks from the country of origin....
