pre 1896?

would anyone be able to identify the marks on these fishservers? they came in a case of Walker&Hall but none of the marks on them seem to correlate with that; the crown above EP means pre 1896? any of the other marks?? https://picasaweb.google.com/110866640232283421066/FishServers?authkey=Gv1sRg...

Re: Iranian mark? maker?

Hi Don,

I got the figure four from the Farsi List on omniglot: http://www.omniglot.com/writing/persian.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
which looks very much like the second figure after the upside down V

all the best

Re: Iranian mark? maker?

Hi Don, sorry I don't know! I am not really an expert either - although striving to become one.... :-) The way I have figured out the 84 is via the website http://www.omniglot.com and then checked on this website the silver content http://www.925-1000.com/a_Standards.html Also I believe somebody men...

Iranian mark? maker?

This is small bowl (10cm diameter, 176 g) I own, I believe it is of Iranian origin, I think I can identify the Arabian numbers 84, so it is presumably 875 silver - I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could confirm this. Does anyone know the maker and the city mark and possibly the age of the b...

Russian Silver or French Plate?

I was wondering if somebody knew whether the hallmark 84 in a square frame plus J. & W. Tubben means that the spoons in question are Russian 800 or French plate or something entirely different. I am new to this forum, so I hope the link to the picture works! https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...
