I also have a clear glass overlay piece and you are right, the dark green glass really does set off the silver.

Does this mean my piece is Gorham and dates from the last quarter of the 19th century?

What does the D 951 indicate? A product number? The piece is engraved with 3 initials on the neck. K H P. I think. There is also the number 52 etched on the top and bottom of the piece, so I am assuming that they ...
