Coin Silver Fork Z. & W. L. Burr with duty mark?

I have a question about this "duty mark" on a coin silver fiddle fork that follows the makers mark. What would you call this mark? From what I've read here, the Burr Family hails from Providence RI and Rochester NY. Any ideas on this head mark or what it means? Thank you in advance and hav...

Is this a German spoon?

Hello, I'm about 90% sure this fiddle spoon is German, but wanted to get your expert opinions and possibly identify the maker. The strike is horrible, possibly a double? I don't have much hope for finding out the maker, but some help on the other marks would be appreciated! Is it in fact German? Als...

Re: Opinions of Tiffany & Co. marked Earrings?

I was concerned with the quality of the backs as well. It just didn't strike me as Tiffany quality. But I've had a few other people look and depending on the age, they're just not sure why this style would be counterfeited? Seems like they aim for more pricier pieces with a higher demand, and lets f...

Opinions of Tiffany & Co. marked Earrings?

Good morning everyone, I'll give you a short backround. We liquidated the estate of some very close friends of ours that owned a very high end, very reputable antique/jewelry store. They closed the store in the mid 90's due to their age (they were in their late 80's at the time). They had a HUGE col...

Re: european silver maple leaf shaped brooch

I had a pair of earrings with the same mark! You can see it in the forum here : http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 975#p77116

I searched researched and searched again and never could find anything on the maker. If you have any luck let us know!

Re: Help to Identify Navajo Mark LM on Buckle

Hello,
Your belt buckle looks like it could POSSIBLY be Leonard Maloney. He did quite a few belt buckles, and the style fits. However I am not sure on a date. I would research him more and go from there.

Good luck!

George Giles or George Gray?

Does anyone know if this spoon is George Giles or George Gray? I'm thinking George Gray, but I was told it may be George Giles? I couldn't find a makers mark for George Giles on the site. I believe it's London, 1798, King George III. Any info would be appreciated! Thank you in advance! http://farm9....

Anyone know M over the S in Sterling? Bracelet, 1960's?

It's a bit hard to see the full hallmark since they applied the links right over them, but I got a few shots of the better marks to try and piece them together if you will. It's marked STERLING with a rather large S, and an M over the S. Any ideas? Thank you for looking! http://farm9.staticflickr.co...

Trask Coin Silver Fiddle Spoons

Happy New Year! I was wondering if anyone knows more about these spoons? Are the E. W. Trask? They are marked "TRASK PURE - COIN" with an arm & hammer, crown, and passat hallmarks. Any ideas on the hallmarks? They appear to be relatively old with hammered bowls. I've been having a bit ...

At least I think that's what it says? Couldn't find it anywhere in the American section. Looked over a few other sites as well, any info would be great! Thank you! Help with a more distinctive Mexican Hallmark

Hello again! I have these pair of earrings that have a more distinctive hallmark than the usual Mexico makers marks. It appears to be either CCB (or maybe GCB), and it's very hard to tell but it appears to start to say "La Ranch"-something around the outside, and what almost appears to be ...

Shreve & Co. Small dishes or cups?

Hello! I just acquired this set of 8 small Shreve & Co. San Fransisco sterling cups. I was wondering if anyone knows what they are? I'm thinking peanut dishes or sorbet? But they're so small it's hard to tell. Dimensions are 2 & 1/2" tall, the base is 1 & 1/2" in diameter, and ...

Longshot, but maybe someone's familiar with these initials?

So the inlay on this hair barrette/pin says Zuni to me, but I could be wrong. And to be honest the initials are confusing... not sure if it's HH, or tiH or tlH?? I doubt anyone knows, but thought it was worth a shot! Thanks for looking! http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7268/8155805930_aa48891895_c.jpg ...
