Re: unknown silver makers marks
Thank you so much, you are brilliant, I still don't see any HS but you must know your silver very well to recognize such obscure marks. I'll look up this silversmith, there is also some writing on the spoon in German and the same words/surname on the other spoon seem to be overwritten. Thank you ...

Re: Unknown silverplate maker's mark, poss. German
Thank you so much, Aleks... I looked at Hefra marks but wasn't sure bcs here it's so unclear. The spoon has a very beautiful, elegant pattern and looks like silver, no dark spots in spite of being from early mid XX Cent. Amazing quality, good weight, a very handsome spoon. Thnx again... :-)

Re: Dutch pseudo marks
Thank you so much for being so patient. Indeed, a very well made spoon although I cannot find any marks for silver or place or date but they may have rubbed off on a handle.
Thank you again for this most informative article and examples.
Kind rgds,
Solveiga.

Re: Dutch pseudo marks
I'm so sorry, of course I've made a mistake and it is indeed DJ: in a rectangle and not JD!... :-(
