Yup - couldn't find anything on an A.S. mark --> only the A.Sch variations.
Agreed too about not quite the style --> unless some of his early work did look "voluptuous", but all I could dig out was very stylish and simple lines mostly combined with various enamel techniques.

Confirmation on quaich origins

Hi, I hope for some confirmation on my amateurish detective work, which tells me a quaich I picked up some 15 years ago bears the following information:
Manufactured by Wakely & Wheeler, Sterling [925], London, 1940?
Am I improving at this game, or should I continue with my day job for a while ...

Small bowl of possible Norwegian origin?

This bowl has passed through three family generations. The suspected origin is Norwegian, and after browsing the information on 925-1000 I would guess this may be correct, but would appreciate any further info on the maker's mark and possible year of origin.
