Re: Dutch silver spoons unable to identify marks
Thanks Peter
Great to know all this. Had a look at the link. Very interesting read.
I Guess with the export key and London import mark they were made between 1853 and 1898.
I feel I know a little more about pseudo marks now
Appreciated as always

The bowls have a lion rampant with a number 1 and a key. Both spoons have english import marks for london 1898.
The reverse of the bowls have the marks in the photos. The stems have a Minerva head with what ...

French Silver Spoon Fork Knife - what are they
Hi Guys
Forgive my lack of social knowledge. What are these 3 french items for? The fork is like nothing I've seen before. Spoon has holes in.
French Minerva mark - makers mark in Lozenge is just a capital L. Would anyone have any information as to there use, and when approximately they were made ...

French Tastevin? 1798? Any suggestions
Hi friends
Bonjour
Can anyone help with this French Tastevin? I picked up today at an antiques fair.
The marks I am sure are French for the date 1798-1809 but I would not say 100%.
800 silver - Cockerel with a 2. Old man head with 74 in an oval cartouche.

Watch case ? 1824
Hi Guys
I wonder if you can help.
I have a watch case and looking at the flattened lions head with no crown and the shape of the i, I am thinking 1824 but I could be wrong.
Wondered on opinions.
Cheers.

Thanks guys
Appreciated.
I will post pictures of this spoons twin but by a different maker.
Maker on the twin spoon appears to be G or C W. Same year, + Stockholm stamp plus french import stamp.
Always glad for the education.

I wonder if, given the MK is clear but the crowned harp and probably the Hibernia mark are rubbed, whether these are further examples of Keating
forgeries and in fact he was a serial forger.

Small Ladle - Dublin - maker MK, date letter rubbed
Hi Guys
I wonder if anyone would hazard a guess at the date of this small ladle which I presume carries a Dublin hallmark. The Maker is MK but the other two marks are fairly rubbed. I am wondering if possibly the date letter could be 1694 but I could be way off.
Any guesstimates gratefully received ...
