Dating a pair of shoe buckles

Hi guys; I wonder if anyone can help. I have a nice pair of shoe buckles which only Lion Passant and makers initials. There are no duty marks so I'm guessing possibly pre 1784. Wondered if anyone could help. Appreciated as always. Gary https://i.postimg.cc/dtChJZ6N/SAM-0914.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/...

Re: Possible shoe buckle, lion passant + maker

Cheers Trev, genius.
Unfortunately there does appear to be a dot between the two letters.

Possible shoe buckle, lion passant + maker

Hi Guys Don't know if anyone can help. Found this item today. I'm just possibly guessing that this is a Georgian Shoe Buckle but to be honest I'm not 100% sure. No town or date mark but maker and lion passant. I'm wondering if anyone can identify it and give a rough age from lion passant and maker. ...

Jug and Saucer - help with identifying

Hi Guys I don't know if anyone can identify this item I picked up today? I wasn't sure if Silver or Silver plate. Very heavy at 395g. Some gold coloured etching around inside of rim. A jeweller colleague thought it may be plate but no matter how deep I scratch it, it turns the silver acid blood red....

Re: Hallmarks on ? German Sifter Spoon

Hi, Aguest
I took a closer picture of the rubbed mark. I took it upside down as the little hook on the 1 appeared to be on the bottom of the 1 when it was the same way up as the rest. It was the best picture I could get.
Cheers

Hallmarks on ? German Sifter Spoon

Hi Guys I wonder if anyone can help. I took a chance and bought this spoon today. I had no idea what the marks were. A little investigation gives me the impression that it is German and the 13 1/4 mark is for Loth, which I guess is Silver, about 830 ish. I'm not sure of the other marks. One is reall...

Hallmark on an old flintlock

Hi guys, I am wondering if you could help date this hallmark on an old flintlock. Sorry it's not the clearest. I am thinking it may be 1752? I also wondered if anyone had any idea who the maker may be. Again apologies for the fuzzy screen shot. Appreciated as always. Gary https://i.postimg.cc/FRrJF3...

Pair of ? French Cuff links

Hi Guys, I picked these up today. I'm not really sure what they are - I'm guessing cuff links. Two eagle heads. I'm thinking possibly 18ct Gold -French. What does everyone think? unidentified marks on a Tastevin

Hi guys
I can't identify these marks on a Tastevin. I don't know the country.
One mark looks like '100', I'm not sure of the second mark.
Help always appreciated.

Re: Sifting Spoon

Hi Guys, found two very small markings when cleaning, just under the end where the wooden handles fits to the silver-work. Looks like a crown and a 13, - possibly - sorry they are small

Sifting Spoon

Hi Guys I wonder if anyone has any idea what this is. No hallmarks but came in with a load of hallmarked silver. No idea of age; looks like it may have been made of of different items. Cant find anything similar. Appreciate any suggestions. Whitish bead on end. Looks like a dark brown wooden handle....
