Pewter Items

Is there an appropriate category on this forum to post images/questions regarding pewter items (e.g. dish with hallmarks)? Or should I look to other locations for information?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

help ID oval batman pictorial mark on 18k gold earring

I'm requesting help identifying the mark seen on these 18k gold earrings. The mark is oval shaped, and looks like the Batman icon, or perhaps some sort of axe or flower. Can anyone help identify this mark? Is it a country mark? Maker's mark? The photos of the mark are below, along with the picture o...

Gorham pattern & handled pan item (fish server?) ID help

I'm having trouble determining the common name of this item and what it was used for (my guess is a fish server, but I am unsure), along with its pattern name. The item is 11" long, seen here: https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg I checked the Gorham pat...

What is this long thin double scoop object? (RJS) mark

Does anyone know the name of this kind of object and what it is used for? It is about 9 5/8" long, with a long thin scoop on each side. The scoops are two different sizes (3/8" and 1/2' outer widths). It weighs about 33.3 grams. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.c...

Re: help identifying: "L" in triangle hallmark, hollow fork

Excellent! Thanks so much for the info.

Do you know what it was intended to serve? I haven't seen a fork quite like it before.

The handle is at a slight angle, like a flipping spatula.

Thanks for the info everyone, it was very useful.

Now that I see all the maple leaves, I don't know why I didn't check the Canadian Silver Marks section first.

Need help identifying spoon hallmark - animal anchor letter

Hi, I've been using this website for a few months now (it's been very helpful), but this is the first time I've had trouble identifying a hallmark. While the subject line makes it sound like a Gorham item, that doesn't appear to be the case (I checked Gorham patterns just in case, but did not find a...
