Dutch city date letters
This Dutch spoon predates 1812 and uses a city mark, I believe it is Dordrecht. I cannot find Dutch city date letters on any online resource, therefore, I have two questions. 1. Could someone help me date the spoon in the photo? 2. Are there any online resources for Dutch city marks? Or helpful book...

Hi there. We have two mystery marks on a large tablespoon. The first is a laurel wreath and the second is less clear (possibly a shield). Hi legrandmogol. The seller didn’t know anything about these spoons and I wanted to learn more about them. I got the second spoon as a gift with the first one. It was a good research project.

I have a large bowled spoon with a cast handle, St. Matthew with tax collector money bag, I believe. Bowl is monogrammed "HCB." There is a hallmark on the back of the bowl near the stem and an inscription "1691." The hallmark is unclear with a corresponding bigorne mark on the ob...

Hello. I've been able to identify this spoon as being from Norway, but would very much appreciate help in learning more about the marks. The spoon weighs 55.5 grams and has been engraved twice: the first .G.A.S. the second ENJ 1810. It has a hand engraved or etched shell pattern. The town mark is a ...
