Is this mark legit?

Hello, I cannot make sense of this mark. Does anyone recognize the maker? It appears to me that the C&W has been pressed on top of another mark (perhaps a trefoil?). Does anyone else see this? This mark is on the back of a tray 27x16". Also there is not a date mark. Any explanations? Thank ...

Hello.... I am new to the art of deciphering silver marks. I think this spoon is sterling, Scottish, Edinburgh, with a George III duty stamp, and dated 1817. There are two makers marks.
