RE: Your Taxco Silver Mark Question

Hi,

Did you ever find out who this is? I will tell you the eagle mark 3 has a list of initials next to it. I looked in the Little Silver Book and there is no FUC for Eagle Mark 3. There is an FLC but I can't tell from the picture if that is a U or an L.

Happy Holidays!

RE: Who is PN Sterling?

I am resubmitting pictures so that everyone can see the mark in question and the front of the brooch. Please help with the "PN" name if you can. Happy Holidays! Here is the front of the brooch. The two end stones look like opals (not Mexican opals or faux opals but real opals), the next tw...

RE: RFT on Ring with NT

Hi Everyone, I received word that the ring in Lapis & Sterling is the mark for Thomas Nez and his mark can be found in the Barton Wright book Hallmarks of the Southwest. Somehow the pictures disappeared so I appreciate the effort taken to assist me with this request. I am posting the answer here...

Please Help with Marks on Ring

Hello and thank you for looking and possibly helping me. My first question is when was the word Sterling written in script? My second question is who used NT on sterling jewelry? The "T" is made by crossing the top of the last line in the "N". Here is a picture of the back. I apo...

RE: PN Sterling

Well, I had someone check the book and she could not find an artist with the initials PN. I also wanted to tell you that the dark colored stones are actually green which I wouldn't have known because it does not look green when you look at it. Only through a loupe. Any ideas as to the types of stone...

Is this 825 Sterling or 925 Sterling?

I am back with a better picture of the back of a piece of jewelry I thought was marked as 925. Now that I have a clearer picture, I am seeing 825 instead. Please help me identify the number of fineness and is the artist named RINC or RING? The original post was accidentally lost. Thanks for your hel...

Enrique Ledesma

I am wondering if part of the mark is missing. Enrique Ledesma, mark: Ledesma is sometimes in script. Page 34 of the Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks. The L is extended to look like an underline or bottom line of a box. If you have this book, you can find it on page 34 and 35. Just ...

Is 921 a Sterling Mark?

Hello everyone! I have a pair of art deco looking marcasite earrings (pierced) that are marked on the back of shiny silver metal, 921. I thought at first I was mistaken so I took out the loupe. It is marked 921 even though the 1 is slightly worn, it is still legible. Here are the earrings. Front htt...

RE: Mark on Brooch

Thanks Tom! I will see if anyone I know has that book and can check for me.

It looks like the end pieces are opals or something similar to opals. Maybe it has all naturals stones in it.
