Hi all,
Can anyone help identify the marks on this piece?
The mark on the side is Indiscernible (with no bigorne)
Maker’s mark and a boy’s head with a 2 over it (presumedly as a purity / place mark) underneath.

Just to add that a few more hints lie in the titles associated with the dates above: I know that the Loriners have an "Under Warden" and then an "Upper Warden" whereas the Goldsmiths number them, I think, and have ...

Any thoughts on the maker of this spoon? To my eye it looks like 'SM' rather than 'WS' but open to feedback on that!

Not really sure where to start with these marks. Assuming the 12 mark is a standard mark for .750? Maker IF. Stylistically I would have assumed the spoon to be first half of the 19th century.

On closer inspection, I agree that it's a marquis' coronet.
Have just looked up the marks and the spoon was made somewhere between 1819 - 1838.

Thanks Aguest, an interesting question indeed as to whether the mark of Pierre Amraux II may have been used beyond his lifetime. It would be great to hear from other forum users whether there are known illustrations of the crowned PA mark for comparison.

Hi all - not sure if anything has come across this mark before? I'd estimate the spoon to be c.1800 - sadly in very poor condition, feel like it may have been underground at some point in its life! Maker's mark twice in irregular-shaped punch.
Any thoughts welcome.

Haven't been able to track down the maker of this feather-edge teaspoon. A.MD struck twice - bottom marked. C. 1780? Unusual chased decoration to finial. Any ideas welcome!

My gut feeling on this is Indian (or other colonial) but have yet to find an appropriate partnership!

Now solved! Indeed turned out to be Australian.

RI = Richard Ivey (active 1945 - 2000's ; Adelaide)
Used symbol of crescent moon as this is the alchemical symbol for silver.

On a Hanoverian teaspoon, marked London 1789, curious crest as pictured surmounted by a Duke's coronet. I can't seem to find a Duke at this date with this crest...... any thoughts welcome!!
