Re: Help identify hallmarks and year

Just to clarify and understand better - my sovereign case was actually produced in 1899, but the British assay offices did not change the date letters mark until July 1899, so the date mark on the object remained "P" meaning the year 1898 ?

Hello all,

Please help me identify if the hallmarks for this sovereign case are correct.

The marks of this 'spoon' represent:

1. The assay mark for Simon Groth;
2. CIM mark for C.I.Moinichen;

3. Three towers above number "00" which represents the year 1900.

Re: Help identify silver mark

Under those 3 towers there is marked "90" which means the 'spoon' was produced in 1890 ?

Is this ok since C.I.Moinichen worked in Copenhagen between 1893 - 1937 ?

Re: Help identify silver mark for vesta case

The silver hallmark of "Kuppenheim Louis" is not exactly the same on my vesta case.

Is it trully a Kuppenheim Louis manufacture?

Thank you!
