Re: Russian Gold or Platinum Pin Brooch ?

Also the mark around the house is 6 sided but not a true hexagon shape with all sides same,it was made to outline a house mark that is taller than it is wide .

Marked DOUBLE HJW Spider on Web & Floral Mesh Bracelet

This appears to be marked DOUBLE and then HJW in square also on clasp it is marked Patent. Mark is a bit weak and I looked more closely with a loop and I know the H is correct but not sure about J and last letter is flattened or filled in and looks like a W. Unsure of estimated age and maker. It has ...

HA .925 Art Deco Earrings ID help Please

These have a mark on back HA .925 with the H having a little bit of a curve on the left side of it on one of the earrings. I was thinking the mark maybe could be Horton & Angell of Attleboro Mass but there is not HA & Co marked on them and Hector A from Mexico I don't think would have done t...

Christofle Toddy Ladle .Repaired or original?

Hi, I have this silver plated Toddy Ladle by christofle with what i think is black ivory handle that is a match to one I've seen on a site with a white ivory handle. It measures 14.25 inches long and is marked christofle as you can see in my photo. What I wanted to know is if I can also add two more...

Re: Ladle Marked pat.jul.10 88 O.F. HALL.

Thank you both. Is there a certain book where I could find the information on Orrin Hall ? It might be useful since I've found alot of different solid silver and silver plate items from Maine and New Hampshire makers since that's the area where I am from. I actually moved to the town Orrin came from...

Found the mark as you were saying might be above the X. It is G7S and there is a piece on this forum with that mark that was identified as being made by C. Schoorl, Zaandijk, 1875-1914 http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3737&highlight=g7s" onclick="window.open(this.href);ret...

Maybe Far East Spoon with cloisonne design and markings

This spoon has applied enamel on the tip of it and has markings almost on all of the back of handle.I am unsure if this is Far East or Middle Eastern, although some of the symbols look more like Far east. Any ideas what it says or the age of it? http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2772/4315520382_db4ecac7...

Hmm. Actually the bowl on my spoon is wider and flattens out more on the end and the decoration above the woman's head on mine is more detailed and alot more open in center of wreath, compared to flattened out circles above womans head and closed hole on hanau piece. The crown on mine actually has cut...

Now that is interesting. From what I read on Hanau, they made alot of reproduction pieces that used marks that looked similar to english and other countries hallmarks. So the one I have could have been an original piece that Neresheimer reproduced with their so called fantasy marks or someone in the Ne...

Stretch marks also on bowl

I just wanted to add that there are stretch marks or uneven rows of lines inside the front of the bowl of this spoon which seems to be from the crude shaping or in the making of the bowl. These lines go from where bowl attaches to handle,to the tip of bowl and can not be seen on back. These marks are ...

Spoon w Hallmark 3 feathers & crown Man w Musket & d

This is a very crude item and not sure the age or where it was made. The man looks like maybe irish or english and either that is a ram beside him or a small dog.It almost looks like a monkey face with leaf over it's head below that also. The bowl od this spoon is very thin, similar to coin silver and ...
