Bruckmann Modell Nr 435 - more info + cleaning problem

Hallo,

I have just acquired some of this flatware, and would appreciate any information anyone has about it.
I know the manufacturer, model number, and the design date is 1909, but that's all.

All of the flatware is entirely covered in gold - I think it is Vermeil, as opposed to gold wash, but do ...

Re: Bruckmann spoon – what is pattern?

Hi,

It is Modell Nr. 395 / 3951, Entwurf ca. 1907.
I think it was an "in-house" design, but wouldn't swear to it.

Thank you so much, that puts my mind at rest that it isn't a "me-too".

Can you tell me why some items have the retailer name and not others?
And at what point in time would the retailer's name have been added - at manufacture time or later? Did they do this with Bruckmann's agreement? I'm just ...

Bruckmann 2851 Sanktjohannser ?

This pattern and the hallmark look to me exactly like Bruckmann's 2851 pattern, but I cannot find any information on Sanktjohannser.

After much web-searching, I did find another Bruckmann pattern (1601) which also had 'Sanktjohannser' next to the hallmark. Apart from that, no further references ...
