Trev, I never thought of that. Could be. I'll do some research on them and see what I find. Thanks and any more thoughts are welcome.

A Little Lamp of Some Kind??

This piece is marked "Sterling" on the base of the handle. It has a wick of that goes inside. Is this a little oil lamp of some kind. We are baffled. Thanks. http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/af99/myisrblu1/235-1.jpg http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/af99/myisrblu1/235-2.jpg http://i997....

ID Piece of Victorian Jewelry

This piece of sterling jewelry is a chain, about 12" long, with a baby/beauty pin at each end. Does anyone know what this is called and/or how it was worn? Thank you.

I surrender...the marks are not the same. Your mark has the LHM mark under the crown that is mentioned in Billy's book. Now, if we could just find out who the heck that is, we might know something.

It's the same mark. Please understand that the same mark, impressed in silver, which is very soft, often vary from one piece to another and do not always look identical.

Re: Any info on this artist ? Pictures Included this time.

I believe this is definitely a mark used by Plata Real. I have attached a link to a pair of earrings from the Trocadero website (earrings are sold, so I though it would be OK). It is the exact same mark, with the addition of the name "Plata Real". http://www.trocadero.com/vintageadvantage/...

We are having no luck identifying the maker's mark on this sterling, salt spoon. We believe it is American. Can anyone shed some light on this one? Thanks! West Germany Sterling Modernist Brooch-Help with Mark

We have this great modernist-style, sterling brooch marked "Sterling, West Germany". It has little cultured pearls and small, jade beads. We cannot identify the maker's mark. Can anyone help? Thanks! Silvercrown http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/af99/myisrblu1/179.jpg http://i997.photobuc...

Your earrings are from designer Richard Lindsay. Mr. Lindsay was born in Colorado and has worked in Santa Fe, NM for over 20 years. He signs with his initials and a triangle. Mr. Lindsay is an Anglo artist, not Native American. All of his work is hand crafted and generally quite whimsical. If you go...

Help with ID NA Ring Bird Mark

This is a sterling ring set with an interesting, turquoise stone. We are assuming it is Native American. There is an engraved, modernist design next to the stone. The mark on the ring appears to be a stylized bird. Unfortunately, one shoulder of the ring is placed right on top of the mark. I've trie...

Help with 14K Gold Pin Rubies & Diamonds

This is a lovely, 14K (marked 585), pin set with old diamonds and rubies. It appears to have entwined initials, MM? We believe it is late Victorian. It has a very early safety catch and a tube hinge. It has an extended pin stem. Curious about your thoughts as to meaning, origin, or any other thought...
