I have 2 bracelets with the same mark but haven't been able to find anything either. It looks like a snail to me.

Re: Large Intricate Silver necklace marked RA only.
It's definitely not Taxco nor NA, the Rajasthan info is correct, it's a place in India. These can be bought from wholesalers in the same designs as older ones so age is hard to determine. They are often 800 or 900 silver.

Re: Help with a Native American silver jewelry hallmark
I am fairly certain this is a company mark and not an artisan mark. I haven't been able to find out what company uses it but I've seen it so many times on different styles that I don't believe it is true NA.

It's not Native American. I have a similar necklace and it looks to be East Asian or some other foreign country.

Re: Need info on Sterling Ring Marked "RMT" Half Moon w/ R
The crescent R mark is for Relios, a SW manufacturing company owned by Carolyn Pollack. The RMT mark is for Rod Tenorio, a Santo Domingo native who designed it. Since it's factory made it doesn't qualify to be called Native American.

Any possibility it's Frederic Duclos? He does electroform pieces like this. A lot of it also comes from Israel.

Re: Assistance with Maker's Mark & Item Identification
I've got the identical piece but the marks are too worn to read. The stones are glass, not Coral, I've seen them in black and green glass too.

The double C is just a mis-stamp. There is an explanation of the "T" marks in the Mexican marks section here.

Re: Mexico sterling silver earrings help
They are from Taxco, any time after 1979. The inlay isn't a stone but usually an enamel or other type of material. The artisan is most likely someone who does piece work for wholesalers. If you go to the World Marks link at the top of the page there is a section on Mexican marks.

Re: New member w/question about "magnet testing"
A magnet is only useful to rule out items that aren't silver, many silver colored metals with no actual silver, like alpaca/nickel silver won't attract a magnet either.

It's the mark for Varsano, an Israeli company. The process is electroforming, they are more likely from the 80's.

Re: Please hwlp identify the makers mark on this piece
It looks to be a double stamped Mexican eagle mark. There would be a number in the center that may help ID the maker but many eagle marks were used by more than one artisan.

Re: Please help with this sterling silver designer!!! :)
That's the earlier mark Carolyn Pollack used when her company was Carlisle Jewelry, it was still used after they stopped using the name. She also owns Relios and does designs as just Carolyn Pollack.
