Thanks Amena!
Hopefully we can turn up the maker to confirm.

I agree, looks Scottish (or Irish).

E.G and other device fiddle pattern teaspoon - thistle crest
Hey team, A fiddle pattern teaspoon, probably provincial, possibly colonial or european. It has a crest of a thistle and is stamped E.G with a device (any ideas? A lamp?) and another device (once again, unsure of what?). Any thoughts would be great! Ben https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https:/...

Re: NZ Maker - D Ltd D
That's a great suggestion Trev.
There is a Dawsons Ltd that was working in Dunedin, circa 1910-1920.
They may a good candidate. Will do some research and post results!
Thanks, Ben.

NZ Maker - D Ltd D
Hey team, This maker has turned up on a few greenstone and silver items (as well as this serviette ring). Haven't been able to track it down yet. Probably dates to between 1920s and 1950s. Has anyone else seen it or an attribution? Cheers, Ben. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-...

R.W and pseudo marks - Canadian? American?
Hey team, Pick up the first of these two fiddle pattern tablespoons a few years ago and then found it's pair this year! I'm guessing a North American origin from the engraving. Has anyone seen this mark before? Or this set of pseudo marks? The monarchs head has a Canadian feel to me. Thanks, Ben. ht...

Thanks guys, the quality of the punches threw me.
It was purchased in the US. So may be North American origin?

Exeter 1798? Left facing Kings Head?
Hi team, A bit confused about this one. Just picked up this sugar bowl. Firstly wondering if anyone can recognise the maker, it is poorly struck, but has some interesting loops to it. And secondly, I can't find other examples of a left-facing duty mark on Exeter pieces...is this a known thing? Or a ...

Scottish Provincial Teaspoon?
Hey team, Picked up this little Scottish Fiddle Pattern Teaspoon. The bowl is a little worn, but the mark is in great condition. I don't have my copy of Turner's handy, but couldn't remember seeing this mark. IM with a figure in between. Any identification? Thoughts? Cheers, Ben https://www.925-1000...

Teaspoon Pattern? Edinburgh 1822
Hey team, I picked a lovely set of three teaspoons the other day. I was wondering if anyone knew the pattern? Or have you seen it before? They are single struck like most Scottish spoons. Hallmarked for Alexander Henderson and J W Howden & Co (one was probably the retailer) for Edinburgh 1822. T...

Re: PE Struck Three Times on Probable Scot. Prov. Teaspoons
Hi Trev, Not sure if there is a way to get these images working again. But I did remember seeing this post. Just a note to say Langdon has a P.F in his book (page 74), which actually looks more like a PE to me. He says it's probably Montreal maker (although I have noted a few of his unascribed have ...

Colonial Ladle - CG CG HNS
Hi team, Picked this up recently. Its a small cream ladle. My guess is probably Canadian - the HNS standing for Halifax, Nova Scotia. Although I couldn't find another example of the individual letter punches used for Halifax. Keen to hear others thoughts or if anyone has seen this maker's mark befor...

Re: Canadian spoon?
Hey guys,
So are these pieces silverplate?
Or are we assuming that because of the stamped 4?
I would have thought with the pseudo-sterling lion they would be silver?
Sorry, just a bit confused. :)
Thanks,
Ben
