Hi Jack, Welcome to the Forum. They are not hallmarks, I'm afraid. The marks identify flatware supplied under a UK Government contract, probably for the armed services or similar. Hi, Welcome to the Forum. To me, everything points to a South American piece. See: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=35433 Such a measurement of the standard, 0.900, in 1780? No, far more likely a 20th century way of expressing it. Can you make out the middle letter, P.?P. ? Trev.
