Maker AVS Second Eagle 175 or 75

Post by Traintime »

Since we know so little about these Mexican marks, perhaps tracking one may be possible. This item is a standard tourist collectible spoon. Hecho En Mexico is over AVS (bracketed with end marks). The late Eagle reads either 175 or 75.
As to the item, the same spoon design was also marked elsewhere as PVE 925 under the Hecho En Mexico with a similarly oriented eagle that cannot be read.
For the intials, the mark Mexico 925 AVS has been noted on a "silver brooch with black tiger eye". Possibly our maker, but no eagle mark mentioned.
If you cannot identify AVS by name, but know of their other works, please note it here. Likewise, if you know of this exact spoon but with another maker mark please note it. Perhaps we might learn something.
