Turkish? Armenian? Persian? 84 SILVER TROPHY w/ Ottoman Marks

Post by kilmjh »

Recently, I obtained this interesting silver trophy. Based on the stye, ornaments & Ottoman hallmarks (the small hallmarks stands for "84") can someone help to identify where & when this was made & who was the master. Thanks a lot.
It has 1946 gift inscription (in Armenian) on it, but defiantly it was made earlier than 1940s.

Hi,
It is not Ottoman Empire but made in Persia, numeral ‚‚4‚‚ being Eastern Arabic variant (Farsi, Urdu).
Most probably Isfahan, but it takes time to search every post wit Persian marks.

Inscription is Armenian but engraved after the exodus.
Dating would depend on identified maker, hopefuly.A lot to search for but an interesting task.Although written in Arabic, only Farsi speaker can read it.Arabs would recigniye letters but not the meaning.
Best wishes
