Persian tea set

Post by jhneoh »

Hello all, we recently found a tea set which belonged to my grandfather. We believe it to be Persian owing to the fact that he used to do business with Iranian companies a long time ago, although we can't be sure.

Can anyone translate the hallmark? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum,

No, not Persian, But Malaysian, from Kelantan.

See: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... tan#p99088

Are there any other marks on the other pieces? Your image only appears to be struck with the mark of Kelantan alone.

Oh, Kelantan does make sense.

We've looked all over and seen no other marks except the one at the bottom of all the pieces.

Thank you so much for solving the mystery.
