Korean Silver Spoon with "Silver / Silver" hangul mark

Post by hpidaves »

I have a silver spoon that has the Korean mark shown as number 3 (Silver / Silver) in the 1910-1945 section on the following page:

https://www.925-1000.com/Fkorea_01.html

My question is to purity of the silver (percentage) for a solid silver (not plated) piece with that mark.

I will attach photos, but I had to use a microscope to read the mark accurately.

Thanks.

Characters on the mark are "銀은", "銀" means silver in Chinese (people in Korean call Chinese character as hangul), "은" also means silver but it's a Korean script. This spoon was likely in 1960s or 1970s in Seoul.

Thank you again :)

Is this solid silver? If so, can you tell the silver content?

Thanks!
