I picked up a vase today marked "SILVER" some asain characters and "BN" I've been able to ID some characters as meaning pure, but and unable to get the other ones. I believe this may be a WWII era Japanese or occupied Korean made vase. Finding these characters does not seem to be an easy task so I am here to ask your opinions. This Vase is approx. 9.5" in height, has a distinctive pattern that repeats 8 times around around it girth, Stamps are are the base foot on the outside and were originally hard to find due to the heavy tarnish buildup. Please see the pictures and let me know if you have a factual ID or if you have an educated guess. Thanks in advance. Ev

Re: Asain Silver Vase needs identification
According to a co-worker who knows Chinese, this means "Pure Silver", but if anyone can tell me more based on the patterns shown and of the "BN" initials, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again. Ev

A co-worker says this reads as pure silver in Chinese. Need to find out if it is a Korean, Japanese or Chinese style vase by shape and pattern, would also like to know of the BN initials too. Thanks. Ev
