Maker's mark identification assistance needed - enameled brooch

Post by bobandcindy »

Seeking assistance in identifying the maker's mark on the enameled brooch pictured in photos 1 and 2. I've included a photo of a similar brooch - likely by the same silversmith - which was signed in the same manner (blue brooch). The piece was identified as seccesionist style but the silversmith was unknown.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Just curious, are there seven dots in the corner of the brooch? If so, this could be an indicator of Bergen origin.

Thank you, dognose! Yes - there are 7 dots/holes in the corner - they are arranged in a triangular shape resembling a Christmas tree.
