Russian 82 purity silver ring, unknown TOWN and MAKER, please help IDENTIFY
I would need some help identifying the hallmarks on this silver ring, almost certainly Russian (judging from the 82 marked onto it). It weighs 2.27 grams, it has 2 marks on the inside. I would need an identification of other marks inside the rectangular box (I could only identify the number 82, which I read about and it's a less common purity Russian silver). I would also need some help identifying the meaning of the initials inside the oval mark - probably the maker's initials: it reads S ? . I suppose the 2nd letter might be an N or a W, or maybe a K? I could not really make out the 2nd initial, as it's extremely small. I'm attaching 2 pictures. Thanks a lot!

Sorry about it, I didn't know how to post pictures. Here they are:

Sorry, but these marks have nothing to do with Russia whatsoever.

Hi,
It`s Romania ``wheat and sickle`` (silver fineness .800) hallmark Used since 1955.
The number refers to assay office (not well documented).

Yes Romania, now I found it too but mind my asking what is the 82, assay office number, or?

Hi,
I think numbers are too high for so many assay offices, most probably associated with silversmiths (jewelers) registration number (similar to Italy). I suppose most of gold and silver with makers` marks was made after 1989 because prior to the revolution owning gold (except for wedding rings) was illegal and let alone privately owned jewelry workshops.

Hi, thanks a lot for all the replies, you have really helped me out.
However, what might be the menaing of the 2 letters in the oval mark? "SN."
Thanks a lot!

Orientating the marks in line with AG2012's clearer example:
Perhaps 1NS or 4NS ?
Can a clearer image of the mark be obtained?

Hi, I'll try taking a clearer photo later on, and thanks for the idea of looking at the mark upside down - which, judging from AG2012's photo, is the correct way of reading the mark. Thanks again!

Hi again, here are 2 more photos of the maker's mark:
I believe the 1st symbol is actually nothing more but a DOT, followed by an N or an M and an S.

Thanks for posting the additional images.
I'm not sure what to think of it now. I was hoping it may possibly reveal a system of registering silversmiths, etc. in Roumania, but....
