??Indian Mark

Post by jps »

I have twelve apostle teaspoons late 19th./early 20th. century. Come from my grandmother who left India in 1912(?). If not Indian, cannot think where they might be from. Can confirm that they are silver, not plate. Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

They are silver plated, I'm afraid. If they were silver they would bear official hallmarks.

See James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield here: http://www.925-1000.com/silverplate_D2.html
