British (?) registration number 108936 (?) for metals 1880's. No results on search for Aural name. Could this be an alloy of gold in amounts too small for standard marks? TIA

As a combination of elemental symbols, this name could possibly be a reference to yellow or gold colored aluminum (see Waldo Foundry listing in silverplate section for another such metal). Aluminum was once an expensive metal to produce and was highly regarded. Though Aural does not seem to turn up as an obscure mutallurgical term, it has been seen on a line of Japanese stainless steel flatware used as a brand mark next to the maker name. Whether or not the term is meant as a deception is not clear.
