Hi All,
We inherited this cutlery from a Polish parent (it's been in the family for around 4 generations) and we can't find any reference to the markings anywhere. I hope you may be able to help?
Many Thanks
Bill
Help With Markings On Possible Polish Cutlery
Re: Help With Markings On Possible Polish Cutlery
Hi,
It was made in Soviet Union and unfortunately it`s not silver but copper-nickel-zinc alloy as indicated by the abbreviation in Russian:
МНЦ - медно-никелево-цинковый сплав
There is even a price stamped on every piece which was common in socialist government centralized economy ( 1 Ruble and 30 kopecks).
Will try to identify the manufacturer.
Regards
