Please help me ID this silverplated kangaroo vase

Post by mick.l »

Can someone please help me identify the maker of this piece?

I believe it's a vase, consisting of a kangaroo on top of a map of Australia. It measures approx. 4 inches in height. It comes in a set, I also have a matching emu one. The marking is hard to make out, it possibly says: P.P & M.CO, B & S.

Cheers, Mick.

Hi Mick,

Welcome to the Forum.

You will have a far greater chance of getting a response if you embed your images. Very few people will click on such links.

Please post a larger close-up of the mark.

Hi,
The image of the mark is still too small.
Now we have a kangaroo standing on Australian continent (the contours).
I have tried to manipulate your image but in vain. If you cannot take better close up tell us what you see under the magnification (use 10 X loupe).
Two letters at the beginning are important. Thank you.

P.P & M.CO, B & S.

I know I'm probably stating the obvious, but the 'B & S' is likely 'Brisbane and Sydney'.

Hey Trev
Now that you say it B & S is a bit obvious .
For some reason I thought the piece was British.
Thanks for all your help.
Cheers Mick
