I have a pair of early 19th century Sheffield candelabras - the only mark is to the foot in the form of a running fox (?) with possibly the words "TRADE MARK" below. I thought this could be Charles Fox but no such luck. I was hoping for Matthew Bolton but there are no additional marks. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Old Sheffield Candelabras - Running Fox?
Re: Old Sheffield Candelabras - Running Fox?
Hi Laura,
Great looking piece!
The mark shown is an engraved family crest, not a maker's mark. Are there no other marks?

Thanks so much for asking. Strange that it would say TRADE MARK? No other marks found anywhere. Thank you for looking.

Where do you see the words 'Trade Mark'?
