Silver tray identification

Post by Chris6918 »

This tray has purportedly been in my family since at least 1839, when it came out from the UK. The HEH engraved in the centre of the tray probably stood for Henry Hobbs. I have looked through a few sites with no joy and would appreciate any help.

Welcome to the forum. The mark on your tray is one used by Thomas Wilkinson & Co of Birmingham. The company was founded in 1832 so your family history date of 1839 is highly likely to be correct.
