So glad I found this forum and thanks in advance for any information that can be provided.
I was told this was old Sheffield, but I'm skeptical. can anyone enlighten me?

You were right to be sceptical. This is an electroplate mark of Goldfeder Silver Co. See our American electroplate companies pages at
