Hi,
New to the forums, as well as the industry. I picked up what I believe to be silver plated spoons and am struggling to find anything online which can clearly tell me what the markings are - can anyone help please? Any tips on cleaning too would be greatly appreciated as well!
Markings are: BD E P N S A1

Re: Silver Spoons Marking Identification Help!
Also, apologies if this isn't in the right place - I couldn't find anywhere else which seemed as suitable going by the descriptions! (and couldn't find the edit tool, if there is one :) )
Re: Silver Spoons Marking Identification Help!
Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Cannot help with the maker ``BD``.
EPNS stands for Electro Plated Nickel Silver and ``A1`` denotes the best quality of silver plating (thick silver deposit on the base metal).
Regards

Thank you both for the welcome response - I didn't know Photobucket had become a no-no! (shows how out of touch I am with forums I guess :D ) Just working to get them up now and I'll re-up shortly.
Thank you again.

Erm... don't know why my message double posted... if an admin could remove one that'd be cool - sorry.

Hi,
Sorry for bringing this thread back to life, just wondered if there was any idea of who the "BD" markings represents?
Thank you again.
Picked these up for 50p at a flea market, not sure if that's good or bad?! :D
