Large compote with crystal top, unknown mark, perhaps British?

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster here!

This is one compote of a set of two, both have identical marks. Provenance: Supposedly bought in Britain 20 years ago, although I'm not confident that the mark is british.

As much as I've tried, I've not been able to identify the mark, has anyone here seen this mark before? Thanks in advance!
