Binder Floreat Candle Pair

Post by Traintime »

Both candles carry Wilhelm Binder's Floreat marks. Only one has additional 15-in-box (right) and unidentified mark (left). Could be intitials to sides of stick figure eagle or such??? (Hard to capture good image.) Is Floreat a plate line only? Is 15 a lot mark or year? These are pitch filled under felt seal. 10 1/2" W x 7 1/2"H.

I'll take the 15 to be a gram mark.

Hello, Floreat was used on plated items only, so the 15 is most likley a plate number, not a date letter or a production number. As to the other mark - no idea, possibly added by a retailer etc. Regards, Bahner
