Copyright Symbol? Moon? Vase of unknown origin

Post by Llbad »

All,

I've taken a look through the website to see if I could find a mark for this vase, but was unable to identify anything similar. I would guess this piece is American but could really use some help identifying it. Found at a thrift store in the midwest; can't wait to clean it up. Thank you!

Thank you both for the info! I never would have guessed that was an "I". It seems like International Silver was around for a while. How were you able to date it to 1921 - is there a particular catalog?

That was just the date of the advert. itself. The vase is probably from later years when I.S. became essentially a trademark placed on non-domestically produced wares (having shut down their own manufacturing facilities and sold off various lines).
