Hi,

Not a hallmark, just a maker's mark.

Thanks Trev. Do you think it is a cigarette case or a ladies purse? I was thinking, don't laugh, a Victorian dance purse.. Thanks..

You don't mention a size, but unless it's tiny and that's a finger ring, then it wouldn't have hung from a chatelaine; does appear to be a typical cigarette case with a bracelet (in the area of a somewhat dainty 2½" in diameter?) - would guess dating is more likely 1910s-20s rather than Victorian era.

Hi Cheryl, It is large...The bracelet too. IT has no opening tho..6 3/4" circumference... The purse is 3 1/4" 3 3/4".
I thought cigarette, too.. I guess 20's would make sense since women smoked like fiends back then..:)
