With my grandmother's box of lovely gorham silver there was, of course, a collection of miscellaneous sterling silver AND silver plate pieces. Among them was this butter knife marked with the word "Sterling" and, underneath it, a maker's mark I have been unable to track down. It appears to be a left-facing Lion propped on top of what COULD be a snail... or a letter I don't recognize. Any help with the maker would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Carolyn

Thank you for the link! I actually used it to find the exact make and pattern. It is from JB & SM Knowles, "Aeolian" Pattern.
Thanks!

Hi,
Yes, definitively "Aeolian" Pattern.
Misled by the position of the lion and ``K`` cannot be seen properly.
This is it.
