Help with sterling flatware makers mark

Post by Momynurse »

I found this with my grandmothers Wallace "Putnam" sterling flatware. I am not sure what it is ... butter knife maybe? And cannot identify the mark. The pattern is similar to "Putnam" but the mark is very different. I have other pics of mark if needed. Thanks for any info.

And one more search I found it.... Manchester "Mary Warren" . Still not sure what it is used for though.

This appears to be a jelly knife if it is about the size of a teaspoon; if it is longer, then it is an aspic knife.

The handle is 3.5 inches, the blade is 2.25 inches. The blade is slightly curved at the base and on one edge. Looks like it would be great for jelly!
