Gorham unknown mark and piece.

Post by kitemistress »

  • This unique sterling spoon of the Gorham Lancaster (Rose) pattern measures 8½” long and, according to this site, dates to 1897. Note the ornate bowl of strawberrys and the “circled” X in addition to the Gorham logo followed by the word STERLING which is faintly visible. Can anyone please furnish information about it? What kind of spoon is it? What does the X stand for?
