Mauser Brush "Rococo" Stamp

Post by Traintime »

In a condition not suitable for grooming a sow-bellied nag, but marks still readable as Mauser Horse (M), Sterling, 925/1000 Fine, and finally word "Rococo" instead of the usual identity number. Mauser's Rococo inspired lines had special names, but could this one be a pattern name (early?) for the specific design here? [Didn't spot it among ads in contributor notes.] Rococo border surrounding floral garland of leaves, roses, daisies, other. Ribbon-ended engraved script letters CDR. 5" x 3" rounded square, ends finished in points.

Restoring images-note large size "FINE" next to 925/1000:
