I am struggling to find the mark and locate the date.
I received a Portuguese pendant from my grandmother who estimated it be from the 1920's. It has a gold(?) twisted frame around its small, oval, enamel(?) face. On the front side is a depiction of Jesus. On the back it says Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres with decorative flourishes. This is because its from the a annual festival in the Azores of Portugal on the island of Ponta Delgada in honor of Christ. It is 1.7 cm long and 1.3 cm wide.
The problem is that the makers mark is incredibly small, less than 0.1 cm long and .05 cm tall! It is located on the ring on the top of the pendant. The one at the top I think says "se`m" or "Jem" with a dash above it. But if I turn it upside down the "s" looks like a 5. On the far left side is another mark that reminds me of a front facing bear or dog. I'm unsure though, because that's even smaller than the first mark.
I appreciate any help! Sorry that my pictures are not that clear.
