Re: Two Spoons Marked Petersen And Arrow Symbol
Hello porter27,
the spoons were made about or a little after 1900 by "Robbe & Berking" from Flensburg, Northern Germany (arrow mark). The date on the spoons seems to be 1908(?).
Petersen is the retailer. Probably it is Asmus Christian Petersen, born 1833, since 1866 in Flensburg. But the name Petersen is very common there. So may be it is another Petersen.
Best regards,
ringo

Hi, I can't quite decipher what they say. Heres some photos
Re: Two Spoons Marked Petersen And Arrow Symbol
Justine Carstensen & Familie
Nieböll d. 8 maj
1908
N.C. Heinsen
Tegelwang 1908
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nieb%C3%BCll
This is a gift. From Justine Carstensen and family on May 8th in Northern Germany. Used to be Danish untill 1864 so this is in the Danish tradition.
the other one could be the person receiving - or could be gift from as well. But my guess would be receiver.
