800 C.B. Repoussé Tea Strainer and Under Plate

Post by shub33 »

Any help on how I would figure out the country of origin from just 800 C.B. on this antique floral hand chased repoussé tea strainer & under plate. Where would one date this? Thank you kindly!

Hi, most likely Christoph Bach from Ellmendingen, Germany. The workshop still exists and is owned now by Bach's relative Achim Heinkel. You may fnd the homepage on the internet. Regards, Bahner

Hello Bahner,

I hadn't known that I received a response to this inquiry. Thank you very much for the info that you gave me. I did research and you are correct.

Kind regards,
