possible Stuttgart spoon

Post by legrandmogol »

I was told that this spoon is from Stuttgart but I have no references to back this up. I was hoping someone could help me with this. The maker's mark looks like CFS and horse looks like it has an A underneath it but it is hard to tell.

In Addressbok of 1811 is a master Christian Friedrich Schwan

but I think it is Christoph F. Sick

Thank you for the help and the fast response. The makers mark definitely looks like the first markers mark for what its worth. I also thought the spoon was older than 1811 based on its design but the reference books don't lie.

that's about the date I would have originally given it based on its style, thank you for clarifying even more.
