Mark on Cream/Sugar -- Owl/W Mark

Post by LKC »

Mark is on an sterling cream and sugar set. It is a small image of an owl with a shield on its chest and a "W" in the shield. There is a pattern No....7526.

I am pretty sure it is American, probably late 1800s (no country of orgin).

Any ideas as to who? (Pun, perhaps intended....??)

Thanks

Weidlich, there are several variations of their owl trademark, would date to the first half of the 20th century.

I frequently come in here as a "guest". I just want to say thank you to everyone who responds to questions. I had a Sterling sever piece from my family and I had no clue who made it. It was identified here as weidlich when I looked for similar questions. A big thank you to all. I wondered what it was for 30 years:)
