All your hard work has given you great instincts, Theoderich! Your hunch is absolutely correct: Swiss, not Zürich exactly, but very close.

It's Wädenswil in canton Zürich, which is why it is using the same arms. The maker "J Bb" is Jakob Brupbacher (1798-1854), master 1820.

Hope this helps!

I thank You blakstone,
My guess is that the color is black, was wrong.
I do not understand why the color is not black.

Zurich has the color blue in the coat of arms. Have You an idea?

My guess would be that since this mark, unlike those under the jurisdiction of the Zurich guild, was created and applied by the maker (Lanz shows several variations of it used by Brupbacher) that the cutter had a less than precise knowledge of hatching and simply made a mistake out of ignorance. I note that the division is likewise more fess than bend.
